Family Safaris in Tanzania
Travelling as a family in Tanzania is a special adventure. During a family safari, you all get to learn together about the wild animals you spot, and their natural habitats and behaviors. Our guides love to instruct as they show you around and help your children find the beauty and fascination in the landscape you traverse. And a bloody kill may well get some particularly engaged, whether young or old!
Watch the elephants walk by your land cruiser, and listen to them chewing bushes and trees. See a mother cheetah play with and instruct her cubs. Watch a lion emerge from the grass and pass right by where you sit. Watch lion cubs roll and play with one another as they learn.
Kids and adults alike can enjoy keeping a list of animals and birds spotted.

All-inclusive Family Holiday
Destination Serengeti designs our safaris to be all-inclusive. Contact us today to start planning, and we will look after everything. Your guide and driver will meet you at the airport, take you to your overnight lodging, and go over the trip with your entire family, including learning what your children (and the adults!) would particularly like to see. We never make promises because the wildlife is wild, after all, but your guide loves to learn what will make your safari stand out forever.
In the morning after you arrive, you set out as a family on your safari in your own private vehicle. Your vehicle is equipped with a small fridge and drinks. Your guide has several books about the birds and animals of Tanzania, as well as an extra set of binoculars, and rice-filled pillows to stabilize cameras when the action gets exciting! Your vehicle has a charging station for electronics. Lodges and camps will be booked as your itinerary is set, and will include all meals (unless otherwise organized) so all you need to do is show up, relax, and prepare to enjoy the adventure.
